straight edge, vegetarian, posi, pacifist, musician, non denominational christian, occasional writer. i'm probably older than you think i am. i love to travel.

i spend my time going to shows, writing music, and doing graphic design for a living. i've seen the scene ebb and flow, but i'm not going anywhere. more than a decade here and hardcore and music is still my family.

i am currently playing bass/guitar/electronics in a post-rock band called analecta. i also play guitar and do vocals for a melodic hardcore band called Chin Up! with my "free" time i write and record solo material under the moniker In The Absence Of Dreaming.

honestly? my first impression of them wasn’t good either.
then they were at the Casey Jones show in chicago, busted my drummer in the face (he was spitting blood for a bit) and they kept making sure he was ok after he got hit (which automatically works better for me. sure, they hit him, but it wasn’t on purpose and they made sure he was ok.)
and they seem very supportive of hardcore/the hardcore scene, no matter what the style.
