there is life here.

straight edge, vegetarian, posi, pacifist, musician, non denominational christian, occasional writer. i'm probably older than you think i am. i love to travel.

i spend my time going to shows, writing music, and doing graphic design for a living. i've seen the scene ebb and flow, but i'm not going anywhere. more than a decade here and hardcore and music is still my family.

i am currently playing bass/guitar/electronics in a post-rock band called analecta. i also play guitar and do vocals for a melodic hardcore band called Chin Up! with my "free" time i write and record solo material under the moniker In The Absence Of Dreaming.

transit is an incredibly boring band. on album and especially live.

sorry i’m not sorry

they were so incredibly boring when i saw them with saves the day/bayside. so so so boring.

i would apply this to bayside.
i loved transit live both times i saw them.
i really love his lyrical style (and then finding out that his biggest influence is Pig Destroyer? that was just weird… and he was totally serious about it)
Bayside, on the other hand, sounded terrible and was generally douchebags about their audience and the venue the show was at “this is the worst venue and audience we’ve had in 10 years of playing shows.” ok, anthony… you started by playing to 600 people at a time in a giant room of people who love your band. get real. (this show was not with STD, though i would have loved to have seen them.)

[edit]
i will admit a certain bias about this band, though.
1. they’re from my home town. (and are pretty much the only thing to come from there)
2. their last album (not the newest one, though i like that too) helped me deal with/get through some particularly difficult things a while back.
