straight edge, vegetarian, posi, pacifist, musician, non denominational christian, occasional writer. i'm probably older than you think i am. i love to travel.

i spend my time going to shows, writing music, and doing graphic design for a living. i've seen the scene ebb and flow, but i'm not going anywhere. more than a decade here and hardcore and music is still my family.

i am currently playing bass/guitar/electronics in a post-rock band called analecta. i also play guitar and do vocals for a melodic hardcore band called Chin Up! with my "free" time i write and record solo material under the moniker In The Absence Of Dreaming.

What is it with people starting multiple bands?

You can’t just start many bands and hope that something will happen with one of them. If you’re hoping to create something people will enjoy, respect, and tell others about you should just put a lot of effort into one or two bands, not 4 or 5.

i don’t know…
i’ve got two bands and a solo project. the guitarist in both my bands is also in a third band.
my drummer is in two bands and plays fill-in with other bands. 
sometimes you don’t want to just be anchored down to one genre of music.
some of us just need to create constantly and that manifests itself in a variety of ways… sometimes different styles musically, sometimes through other forms of art. sometimes all of the above.
