madly cleaning my house because… as with everything, plans changed again last minute and people ARE coming over to my house for a sober party.
uh… so, yeah. making freezer pizza. the kitchen, living room and bathrooms are cleaned. i guess all that’s left is a little bit of general pick-up and i’m good to go.
eat my pizza, take a shower, get spiffy… right. sounds...
the internet and social networking in particular have made exaggeration and over-reaction into an art-form.

list time. let’s see. what things should i include. new years used to be a thing for me. this is going to be a short list with one benign thing and one serious one.
i took girls to visit my parents and go downtown in Boston on new years. (well, that happened 3 times anyways, with three different girls.)
i finally said “i love you” to my ex after we’d been together for 9...
sometimes you’ll see something that is not there.

and sometimes you just don’t know.

my brain is being weird tonight.
the internet doesn’t hold anything that interesting at the moment. i’m seriously considering going to bed already. can’t really think. feeling lonely. everybody is off hanging out with their girlfriends/boyfriends or … whatever their status is. or in some cases… just friends.

in an effort to promote healing in one ear and aesthetics in the other… i’ve taken my plugs out for a while.
my right ear is healing from a small tear that started as an infection that i didn’t treat quite right. i didn’t realize i had a cut on the inside of my ear and things just… ballooned out of proportion. so… that ear is healing (quite decently actually)...

I would be amazed if I did… and this would be two years in a row now, which doesn’t seem like much, but a year ago I was in a relationship and still didn’t get one.

so… in an effort to be a bit more forthcoming about my life, i’ve decided to make some lists. this might be the first of many short lists… if i remember to do anymore later.
i’ve been playing in bands for 11 years. and playing music in general for a lot longer than that.
i have small neuroses. like… i arrange my book series from right to left instead of the other...
home again home again.
going to unpack… watch Crazy Stupid Love ‘cause i’m a sucker for romantic comedies and go to bed. i think. we’ll see if that’s actually what happens.
now if only i could find somebody to watch those type of movies WITH me and cuddle up.

1. christmas went well. though i must admit i was glad to see my nephews go. my oldest (who is 2 and a half) was SO high strung from all the gifts and everything that he was nearly unmanageable towards the end of it. the other one (3 months old) might have started teething and was crying a lot. right. probably NOT going to have kids ever. on the other hand… part of me still...
